Macau Sauna on Halloween Weekend 2026: An Hour at Yu Sauna

Halloween 2026 falls on Saturday 31 October, so for many visitors Halloween weekend in Macau will be a night out among crowds, costumes and things designed to make them jump. The night can have a second half that is the opposite of the first: an hour at Yu Sauna (八湯御桑拿), on the 4th floor of the New Orient Landmark Hotel in NAPE.

Guests get a locker key at the counter, and clothes and toiletries are provided, so nothing needs to be carried in. Everyone rinses off in the showers before the water. The centre of the floor is the hot-pool hall, a pool beneath a wall of Chinese timber lattice with one round window cut into the middle. There is also a hinoki dry sauna and a glass steam room, and a lounge for resting between them.

Choosing a therapist

Guests tell the manager which set from the menu they would like, then meet the therapists face to face and choose. On a first visit, the Popular set in the middle of the menu is an easy choice, and saying it is your first time is all the explanation needed.

The hour

The massage is one to one, in a private room. Before she starts, the therapist asks where the guest is most tired and what pressure they like, and plans the hour around that. After an evening on your feet, most people are most tired in the hips and thighs, so those get more of the time. If the pressure is not right at any point, the guest can ask her to adjust it. The hour ends with a hot towel, with no need to get up.

Add-ons and one more soak

After the massage, add-ons such as a foot massage or a head massage are done on a recliner in the lounge by a different therapist, and they are chosen there. Many guests go back to the hot-pool hall for one more soak afterwards. For a longer stay, the lobby rest area is free, and a private rest room can be added for a fee.

Before you book

“How late can I arrive?” Yu Sauna is open 24 hours, and the therapists are on duty from 1 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning, so you can still arrive well after midnight.

“When does the hour start?” It starts when your therapist begins, not when you walk in. The bath, the lounge and the choosing are your own time.

“What does it cost?” As of October 2026, Yu Sauna’s menu runs from MOP 1,199 to MOP 7,399, and a 10% service charge is added to every bill. Prices follow the actual menu and may vary with the service, the length and the time of day. Ask us for the latest figures and the details of each set, and you will have the current menu confirmed when you book.
